On the same weekend as the Midland Railway's vintage event, we have our own day to play with ancient models. Nothing much is older than the 1970s but that was right at the start of when our scale of modeling began. The humble Mamod Loco (1979) ushered in a boom of oscillating locomotives that continues as a popular start-up route into our hobby. Don't miss Kev Gregory's video at the bottom of the page.
