Butterley Garden Railway Association

2023 Easter Weekend

The Midland Railway were running their big trains on the main line for their 2023 re-opening weekend so we decided to make an effort and support them by running for both days.

WhatsApp proved its worth and allowed us to co-ordinate who went on each day and a good turnout was managed. And the weather was brilliant. Saturday was warm and sunny though Sunday was a bit more cloudy but still warm.

There was some thought of coming on the Bank Holiday Monday too but as it happened the heavens opened and it poured with news reports of high winds and floods.

Joe, Jon, Dave and Elliot took the photos.

(Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th April 2023)

Some of these photos, in high quality, can also be seen on the BGRA Instagram Page or other BGRA Social Media Sites.
