This was an event that we'd all been been anticipating. The weather forecast was heavy rain heading north but fine weather to follow. As it happened the afternoon was gloriously sunny and really quite warm for the end of October.
We ordered our chip supper and scoffed ourselves as the daylight dimmed. The lights were set up and everyone started to prepare their engines.
The attendance was good and everyone seemed to have a great time.
The most amazing outcome of the evening was the photos. Despite it being very dark, some remarkable and atmospheric images were produced. It seems that very sophisticated camera phones could take clear images in almost complete darkness by using combinations of long exposure, multiple lenses and strategic flashes. Some of the best photos we've ever had during a night run.
Many thanks to everyone who attended during the day.
