It was a ridiculously hot weekend with temperatures topping 30 degrees. We set up the stalls and got everything looking beautiful. Elliot and Lucy ran a tombola, Glenis and Mary sold plants, Norman had his usual supplies and collectables and John Sutton presented his books and engines.
But where were the usual crowds? Well, on the Saturday, England played Sweden in the 2018 World Cup Quarter-Finals (and won) and on Sunday it was just so hot (and everyone had a hang-over maybe). We had an excellent turn out of members and 16mm visitors but very few members of the public. Our takings for the weekend were really low compared to previous years but we all had a great time as seen in Dave's excellent photos.
